As Sr. Corporate Development Advisor on the Healthworx team at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Mike matches internal business needs with external industry solutions. CareFirst covers 3.3 million Americans across the country and serves Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia employers. The Healthworx team works to directly invest, partner, or commercialize innovative healthcare technology that will enhance Member and Provider experience. Current themes of investments aim to improve the Member experience, reduce pharmaceutical spend, focus on social determinates of health, and increase clinical data sharing.
Mike is excited to grow Neurished within the brain health industry. He will particularly contribute to corporate venture capital and health tech investing and would love to engage in related conversations with anyone interested.
He received an M.B.A. from Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School concentrating in Healthcare Management and a B.S. from Saint Joseph’s University majoring in Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Marketing.
