Kyra Newmaster

Kyra is in her fourth year in the Medical Scientist Training Program at Penn State College of Medicine. She is currently working towards getting her PhD with guidance from her mentor Dr. Yongsoo Kim. She uses neuro-informatics and anatomy to study social behavior and how social neurocircuits change in Autism. In her opinion, the brain is by far the coolest thing to study! She also knows that neuroscience is an intimidating field, so she hopes to use her expertise to bring some of the cutting edge work that she is reading about to other people. Hopefully, this will help us better understand how our brains work and what it takes to keep them healthy.
