Chief Technical Officer
I am devoted to solving cognitive impairment and neurodegeneration. Neurished provides a platform to share information about cognitive and mental health with the community, as well as highlight the research and innovation we are working on.
I am an MD/PhD candidate at Penn State University training to be a physician scientist. My graduate studies are in neural engineering, where I research changes in brain networks related to cognitive decline in Parkinson’s Disease. I believe that research must be translated into clinical solutions to help people. Therefore, I am also learning to be a neurologist to care for patients suffering from cognitive impairment. This unique career path places me at the intersection of engineering and medicine to leverage the latest technological advancements to improve brain health.
Beyond my clinical and translationally focused research, I am focused on taking a holistic look at healthcare, to ensure the systems in place are designed to satisfy patients’ needs as fully as possible. One way to do this is through health systems research to identify meaningful metrics of quality and methods to increase system efficiency. Another avenue of interest for me is the development of novel neurotechnology that fills unmet needs for my patients.
I hope to contribute to helping people live longer, healthier, and happier lives.
